Hedaya - this is where i keep it

Smother.net: Simon Kean, the genius behind Hedaya, has fused together portions of the greatest albums in the history of indie and brought them together for this album. I guess what’s amazing is that this album was recorded and written only in a short five weeks in a bedroom and studio flat. I just imagine what would happen if he didn’t have to rely on a laptop recording device—though he claims recording studios are not his forte. Hell, I’ll believe him, if you can do this on a DIY budget and set-up I’ll listen to you if you tell my hair is on fire. This is a sheer experience from track one. Astounding...

Luna Café: "My Beautiful Blue" starts with the shocking line "I promise you those bruises won’t show in the morning" and describes an abusive relationship. The creepy feeling is evoked by the slowly unfurling music too. "Token Fuck Off Song" is a clever little song about hatred and hurt. "Bind" has the lines "Watching porn for the blind/phone sex for the deaf". Ah Mr. Kean, you're wry. Kean's method of almost casually whispering about the obscenities and the cruelty we people are capable of works alarmingly well.
